IHG Signs Agreements for Two Holiday Inn Hotels in Aswan, Egypt

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed management agreements with Misr Holanda and Avenue for Development to operate two new Holiday Inn-branded properties in Aswan, Egypt. The agreements will introduce Holiday Inn Aswan and Holiday Inn Resort New Aswan, marking the brand’s entry into the city and expanding IHG’s presence in the country.

Holiday Inn Aswan will feature 200 keys and will be located near the city center and major tourist attractions. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2029 and will offer three dining options and meeting spaces across five venues.

Holiday Inn Resort New Aswan will also have 200 keys and will be situated in the newly developed area of New Aswan. The resort is planned to open in 2030 and will provide branded accommodation in this emerging part of the city.

IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates 10 hotels in Egypt under the InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, voco, Holiday Inn, and Staybridge Suites brands. The company has a pipeline of 23 hotels scheduled to open in Egypt in the coming years.
