IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed agreements to open six voco hotels in Mexico by 2027, adding 848 rooms across key commercial markets.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of six new voco hotels in Mexico, in partnership with Alliance Hotels. The properties are scheduled to open in 2027 and will be located in Cancun, Guadalajara, Ciudad Juárez, San Luis Potosí, Torreón, and Nuevo Laredo. This expansion will add 848 rooms to the voco brand’s presence in Mexico, which currently includes four operational hotels and five in the pipeline.

The new hotels are part of IHG’s strategy to expand its upscale offerings in Mexico through conversions. The properties will undergo significant renovations to incorporate voco hotels’ design elements, including social spaces and a distinct arrival experience. The voco brand currently has a global pipeline of 102 properties.

The six hotels include the voco Guadalajara Expo Area, a 163-room property located near Expo Guadalajara, designed to serve meetings and conferences. Voco Cancun will offer 160 rooms with lagoon views and will cater to corporate travelers with its proximity to the airport and downtown. Voco Nuevo Laredo, with 120 rooms, will serve business and leisure travelers near major ports and the Laredo, Texas, international bridge.

Voco Torreon will feature 124 rooms and is positioned to serve the automotive, agro-industrial, and textile sectors in the Comarca Lagunera area. Voco San Luis Potosi, located in an automotive manufacturing hub, will offer 135 rooms and cater to international corporate travelers. Lastly, voco Ciudad Juarez will provide 146 rooms and is situated in a key industrial corridor near the U.S. Consulate.
