IHG Hotels & Resorts will open several new hotels in Greater China during the first half of 2026, including properties in Chongqing, Huzhou, Hefei, Ningbo, Jinan, Nanjing, Taipei, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Beijing.

These properties are intended to expand IHG’s presence in both established and emerging cities, including tier-one and tier-two locations.
In addition, InterContinental Taipei and Holiday Inn Shanghai Tourism Zone are scheduled to open in the first half of 2026. InterContinental Taipei will be located near Taipei Dome, and Holiday Inn Shanghai Tourism Zone will be situated near Shanghai Disney Resort. THE ONE Shanghai Downtown Vignette Collection is set to open adjacent to Shanghai’s core commercial and lifestyle districts. Kimpton Shanghai 9 Tree Art Center will open in a suburban area, targeting guests interested in nature, arts, and culture.
