IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with SEDCO Capital to open a 150-room Hotel Indigo in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has entered into a management agreement with SEDCO Capital to launch Hotel Indigo Grand Square Jeddah. The hotel will feature 150 rooms and will be part of the Grand Square mixed-use development on King Abdulaziz Road in Jeddah. This project marks the first collaboration between IHG and the Saudi real estate investment fund managed by SEDCO Capital.
The Grand Square development is a strategic partnership involving Ajdan Real Estate Development Company, MASIC Investment Company, and SEDCO Capital. It aims to integrate hospitality, retail, and office spaces within a single destination in Jeddah. The Hotel Indigo will serve as a central component of this development.
The signing of this agreement aligns with IHG’s strategy to expand its lifestyle hotel portfolio in Saudi Arabia. The company currently operates 46 hotels across six brands in the country, with plans to open 60 more hotels over the next three to five years.
SEDCO Capital’s involvement in the project is part of its strategy to develop real estate assets that contribute to urban and economic development in Saudi Arabia. The Hotel Indigo Grand Square Jeddah is intended to enhance the hospitality experience within the Grand Square project, supporting Jeddah’s position as a key urban and tourism hub.
The development of Hotel Indigo Grand Square Jeddah aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the country’s tourism and hospitality offerings.
