IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to open a 200-room Holiday Inn in Bengaluru’s Electronic City in 2029.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a management agreement with Thanishq Hospitality to develop a new Holiday Inn in Bengaluru’s Electronic City. The hotel is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2029, marking a strategic expansion of IHG’s presence in one of India’s major technology hubs.

The upcoming Holiday Inn Bengaluru Electronic City will feature 200 guest rooms and suites. It will include three dining options, four meeting venues, including a ballroom, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and parking facilities. The hotel will incorporate the Holiday Inn brand’s Open Lobby concept, designed to provide a multifunctional space for guests.

This development is part of IHG’s strategy to strengthen its portfolio in high-growth markets across India. The new property will be the second Holiday Inn in Bengaluru, targeting different market segments within the city.

Bengaluru is recognized as a significant technology and business hub in India, housing numerous global and local IT companies. The Electronic City area, where the new hotel will be located, is one of the largest IT parks in the country, further enhancing the strategic importance of this location for IHG.

IHG currently operates 48 hotels across six brands in India, with plans to open an additional 63 hotels in the next three to five years. This expansion aligns with the company’s focus on catering to both business and leisure travelers in key Indian markets.
