IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open a voco-branded hotel in central Bangkok in 2029.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with SCX Corporation Company Limited to open voco Bangkok Siam, a 350-room hotel located on Phayathai Road in central Bangkok. The new-build property is set to open in 2029. It will be positioned opposite Siam Discovery Shopping Center, with proximity to other major retail destinations such as Siam Paragon Shopping Center, Siam Square, and MBK Center. The hotel will also be near the BTS Siam station.

The voco Bangkok Siam will be a 28-floor structure and will join voco’s expanding global portfolio, which currently includes 107 open hotels across 25 countries and 102 properties in the pipeline. The hotel will feature amenities such as a restaurant and bar, a gym, a rooftop pool with views of the Bangkok skyline, and meeting room facilities.

This development is part of IHG’s strategy to expand its voco brand in Southeast Asia and globally. The voco brand, launched in 2018, recently reached a milestone of 100 open hotels. IHG has plans to further grow the brand in the region, with recent openings in Quang Binh, Vietnam, and Bandung, Indonesia, and upcoming debuts in Thailand and other locations.

SCX Corporation Company Limited, a subsidiary of SC Asset Public Company Limited, is partnering with IHG on this project.
