Fairview Hotel Nairobi has become the first African property to join IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Vignette Collection, marking the brand’s debut on the continent.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of Fairview Hotel Nairobi to its Vignette Collection, marking the brand’s first entry into the African market. The hotel, located in Nairobi, Kenya, features 99 rooms and is part of IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio.
The Fairview Hotel Nairobi, known for its early-20th-century architecture, features amenities including a scenic outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and nine meeting and event spaces. Dining options at the hotel include three restaurants: Mukutan, Pwani, and Giuseppe, as well as the Atrium Coffee and Nthome Fireplace.
The hotel will participate in Vignette Collection’s initiatives, such as Memorable Rituals and Means For Good. Memorable Rituals at Fairview include SimuStories, an interactive storytelling experience—the Means For Good initiative partners with the Kenya National Library Service to support literacy programs.
The Vignette Collection, introduced three years ago, aims to reach 100 hotels within ten years. With the addition of Fairview Hotel Nairobi, the collection now includes 27 open hotels globally, with 41 more in development.
