I’m a Shopping Editor, and I Recommend This $19 Athletic Skort to Everyone

Why I love this Amazon find

In the world of fashion, new trends seem to emerge just as quickly as others lose relevance. If you’re anything like me, then you may find this fast-paced cycle a bit mind-boggling at times. But in a nostalgia-inducing twist, several defunct styles have recently made a comeback. Low rise jeans, tailored vests, flowy maxi skirts, cowboy boots, and capri pants are just a few examples of past trends that have been regaining popularity over the past couple years. Out of all these reemerging fads, the one I’m most excited about is undoubtedly the skort.

By far, the absolute best skort I’ve tried during this resurgence is the Ododos Wrap Athletic Skort. Not only is it extremely affordable with a starting price of just $19 on Amazon, it’s also incredibly cute and packed with great features. I’ve tried my fair share of Amazon fashion pieces over the years, but none have gotten me quite as many compliments as this affordable Ododos number.

The skort is made from a stretchy, sleek, and soft blend of nylon and spandex. There’s an outer layer with an adjustable tie that lends the piece an adorable faux wrap effect. Underneath the top panel, you’ll find a pair of built-in shorts with a 4-inch inseam and two handy side pockets.

All of these features make for a skort that’s super comfortable while also making me feel effortlessly put together. The built-in shorts offer just enough coverage and do a fantastic job of preventing the ever-dreaded chafing during long walks. The material feels thick and luxurious yet breathable, and the concealed side pockets are great for storing my phone and keys when I want to go hands-free. Plus, it looks so effortlessly cute thanks to the thigh-skimming length, high waist, and outer layer that mimics a skirt.

Another bonus? This skort is super versatile. I feel just as comfortable wearing it for a workout as I do while grabbing breakfast or running errands. It pairs wonderfully with a basic t-shirt or tank top during the warm weather months. I’ve also worn it with long-sleeve tees and sweaters on chillier days.

What shoppers should know

  • Material: 68% nylon, 32% spandex.
  • Colors: There are 15 color options available, including black, white, navy, teal, blue, chambray, dark purple, rose, brown, and violet.
  • Sizes: Extra small to XXL.
  • Prices: The skort retails for $25, but select colors are currently on sale for as low as $19.
  • Extra features: Built-in shorts, concealed side pockets, 4-inch inseam, adjustable tie.
  • Care instructions: Machine wash cold and air dry.

I bought this skort in my usual activewear size (medium) and the fit is great. The bottom layer offers a touch of compression without feeling restricting. My chosen color — chambray — is really attractive and looks exactly the same in real life as it does in the product photos.

While the care instructions say the skort should only be hung to dry, I sometimes throw it in the dryer on days when I’m feeling particularly lazy. Despite this, the skort looks and feels just as good now as it did when I first bought it over a year ago.

I’m far from the only shopper who feels so positively about the Ododos Skort. It has an impressive 4.5-star rating on Amazon and has racked up plenty of glowing reviews.

“I’m obsessed with this skort. It’s soo comfortable and flattering. I’ve been wearing it constantly and always get tons of compliments on it,” one customer raved.

Equal parts comfortable, practical, and adorable, the Ododos Wrap Skort has become a staple in my everyday outfit rotation and I can’t stop recommending it to other activewear lovers in my life. For as low as $19 on Amazon, it’s an absolute steal, too!
