Netflix will have a significant presence at the Annecy Film Festival next week, a week-long event where animation takes over the picturesque resort in Southern France. What titles are being showcased, and what news can we expect? Here’s a look ahead at what’s going to feature and what you can expect from our coverage.
For the first time, What’s on Netflix will be in attendance, and we’re hoping to attend as many Netflix-related titles as possible. We’ll be attending the world premiere of Fixed and have a review for you on Wednesday, in addition to attending all the panels where we can and bringing you some of the behind-the-scenes content that won’t be included in Netflix’s press releases.
Full Timeline of Netflix Events for Annecy Festival 2025
Note: In terms of when actual news will hit the wires and be published, you can probably expect embargoes scheduled for during or after each event. We have been told that some titles that will be screened or previewed to audiences will not be available online afterwards.

Finally, Annecy Film Festival will also premiere some former Netflix projects. A while back, we heard that Stitch Head, the Steve Hudson-directed film, was set to be with Netflix, but it will now be making its premiere independently. Similarly, Animal Farm, an animated film based on George Orwell’s novella, was once attached to Netflix but is now being released outside of Netflix. The same applies to High in the Clouds, based on Paul McCartney’s book, which is no longer with the streamer.
