The pipeline of Universal Pictures movies heading to Netflix US continues to flow under a new deal brought forward. Thanks to the Pay 1 window arrangement shared between Peacock and Netflix, we can confirm that Nobody 2, Anemone, and the beloved Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale are all scheduled to drop this coming March.

For those unfamiliar with how Universal movies come to Netflix, it all comes down to a deal struck back in 2024, which was originally due to begin in 2027 but will begin much sooner than originally planned. For Universal’s slate, films generally debut in theaters, head to Peacock for a four-month exclusive window, and then move over to Netflix for a 10-month window. A deal like this has been in place for animation for a number of years already but it now transitions to live-action titles.

Now, looking ahead to next month, we have three major titles confirmed to be making the switch from Peacock to Netflix.

Here’s a rundown of the Universal movies hitting Netflix US in March 2026.

Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale

Theatrical Release Date: September 12, 2025
Coming to Netflix: March 7th, 2026

Get your tea ready; the Crawleys are making their final bow on Netflix.

Marketed as the third and final film in the franchise, The Grand Finale serves as the ultimate conclusion to the saga that began on ITV and PBS over a decade ago. Written by Julian Fellowes and directed by Simon Curtis, the film brings back the entire central cast, including Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, and Michelle Dockery.

Perhaps most exciting for fans was the return of Paul Giamatti as Harold Levinson (Cora’s brother), creating some of the film’s best friction with the British aristocracy. It’s an emotional send-off that grossed over $180 million worldwide last fall, and it’s likely to dominate the Netflix Top 10 charts when it lands mid-month.

Nobody 2

Theatrical Release Date: August 15, 2025
Coming to Netflix: March 14th, 2026

Bob Odenkirk is back as Hutch Mansell, and if you thought the bus fight in the first movie was intense, just wait until you see what director Timo Tjahjanto cooked up for the sequel.

Following the events of the 2021 sleeper hit, Nobody 2 sees Hutch trying to keep his past buried while navigating a new threat from a sinister international cartel. The sequel brought back Christopher Lloyd and RZA, alongside new villain Sharon Stone.

The film performed solidly at the summer box office last year, proving that the “dad-ction” genre is still very much alive. If you missed it in theaters or during its Peacock run, this is a perfect Friday night watch for Netflix subscribers.

The Bad Guys 2

Theatrical Release Date: August 1, 2025
Coming to Netflix: March 21st, 2026

DreamWorks Animation’s most charming crew of criminals-turned-citizens is finally hitting Netflix.

Director Pierre Perifel returns for this sequel, which picks up with Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Shark, and Ms. Tarantula trying to adjust to life as “the Good Guys.” However, their resolve is tested when a new all-female squad of criminals arrives on the scene to steal their thunder (and the loot).

The first movie was a massive hit on Netflix, staying in the global top 10 for weeks. With Sam Rockwell and Marc Maron reprising their voice roles, expect this one to dominate the Kids & Family charts heading into the Easter break.

Anemone

Theatrical Release Date: October 2025 (Limited)
Coming to Netflix: March 28th, 2026

Releasing under the Focus Features banner (a subsidiary of Universal), Anemone marks a historic moment in cinema: the un-retirement of three-time Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis.

Directed by his son, Ronan Day-Lewis, the film is a cerebral exploration of the intricate relationships between fathers, sons, and brothers, set against a family crisis. Co-written by the father-son duo, the movie also stars Sean Bean and Samantha Morton.

While this was a quieter release compared to the blockbusters above, it garnered significant critical acclaim during the recent awards season. It’s exactly the kind of prestige drama that often finds a massive “second life” audience on streaming.
