Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is set to debut in the United States on Sept. 12 as the first of three films that will bring the story of this beloved anime series to an end. But as fans get ready to wear their best apparel and cosplay to see the film, they may be wondering if they need to stick around for any post-credit scene. Does Infinity Castle have a mid- or post-credit scene? Well, it’s complicated.

Rather than wrapping up before the credits roll, the film carries straight through them, revealing pivotal sequences that set up the sequel arriving in 2027. We see Mitsuri Kanroji and Obanai Iguro fighting through the castle, Inosuke and a battered Zenitsu regrouping, and Genya Shinazugawa searching for his brother Sanemi, who faces demons of his own. Meanwhile, Oyakata’s children dispatch crows to track Muzan, only to discover the Infinity Castle itself expanding to conceal him. Hidden deep within, Muzan taunts the Demon Slayers from inside a pulsating sphere, seemingly fusing with the fortress. The sequence closes on Tanjiro and Giyu Tomioka, both still unconscious from battle, before fading out.

After the credits, audiences are treated to a striking mural composed of Demon Slayer artwork, a final touch that rewards those who stay seated.

With the pressure to match the runaway success of Mugen Train, Infinity Castle leans into spectacle while keeping the story momentum alive, and it delivers. And if you’re still catching up, here’s a quick guide to which Demon Slayer seasons and movies you’ll want to watch before entering the Infinity Castle.
