Influencer Emilie Kiser Returns to TikTok After Tragic Loss of Her Son

20 September 20253 Mins Read

Influencer Emilie Kiser has returned to TikTok for the first time since the death of her 3-year-old son Trigg in a drowning accident in May.

“Hey you guys, don’t even know what to say,” Emilie, 26, said during a TikTok video posted on Saturday, Sept. 20. “It’s been a minute since I’ve obviously come on here. Not gonna lie, I’m really nervous right now. I don’t really know if there’s any right way to start this video, but I’m going to do my best.”

“I have missed getting to chat with you guys everyday,” she continued. “I really do love this community we have here, and I hope that in coming back and sharing what I choose to, I can reconnect with you guys and, hopefully, help anyone going through a similar situation.”

Trigg drowned in the family’s backyard pool in Arizona on May 12, passing away six days later on May 18. Emilie was not home at the time of the accident, as the toddler was being watch by his father, Emilie’s husband Brady Kiser. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office chose not to press charges against Brady.

Emilie has been on a social media hiatus since the accident, only returning briefly last month to share a lengthy statement on Trigg’s passing.

In the video, Emilie said she’s “taking it day by day” and will be doing the same with her content.

“I’m not going to act like things are fine and dandy, and I don’t want it to come off that way with me coming back and making content again,” Emilie said. “This is really therapeutic for me. I miss talking to you guys, but I don’t know what that’s going to fully look like. I don’t know how much I’m willing to share, especially about my grief journey.”

“I don’t know when I’ll be ready [to discuss my entire experience],” she continued. “If you are going through anything similar, I just want to say that I love you, I’m here for you and I understand how hard it is.”

Emilie ended her video with footage of herself cleaning and organizing her house, reminiscent of her content prior to the accident. Throughout the TikTok, Emilie wore a “Trigg” necklace in honor of her son.

“I have some time right now, so we’re going to reset this house for the week ahead,” she concluded. “I’m excited to do so. It always feels good going into the week with a clean home, so let’s go and clean together. If you want to watch me clean, then keep watching.”
