International DJ FISHER praises Toronto and says it was one of his favourite shows ever

16 July 20252 Mins Read

Australian DJ and music producer FISHER lit up Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on Friday, delivering a sweaty but unforgettable night full of energetic rhythms and iconic beat drops for 16,000 fans.

Known internationally for smash club hits like “Losing It,” “Take It Off,” “Atmosphere” and his rework of “World, Hold On,” FISHER didn’t hold back when it came to showing his admiration for the Toronto crowd. And, there’s one thing he’s sure of — Toronto knows how to party.

“I reckon that show in Toronto on Friday night might be my f***ing top two favourite shows I’ve ever done, honestly,” FISHER said in a video posted to social media after the event. “You Canadians know how to bring the heat, and I keep telling people day in, day out that my favourite place to play at the moment is in Canada.”

@edmresidence @FISHER said that his possible favorite show is the Toronto show at the Budweiser Amphitheater #edm #edmresidence #toronto #fisher #chrislake #housemusic #edmmusic #edmtiktok #rave #plur #techhouse #techhousemusic ♬ Atmosphere – FISHER & Kita Alexander

Fans were just as quick to mirror their love for the DJ.

“That’s some serious props from a partying legend,” one person wrote under the reposted clip of the music producer, while another said, “Had the best time. My body still hurts from dancing so hard. It was exactly the type of summer show I’ve been craving to have.”

FISHER himself was also blown away by the energy the Toronto crowd brought. “I just watched some of the clips, and I’m absolutely losing my sh*t,” he continued in his signature, thick Australian accent. “That was gnarly. I f***ing love you guys and I can’t wait to do that again.”

This past weekend, the energetic DJ also performed at the Badlands Music Festival in Calgary. After his Toronto set, fans flooded his comment section begging for a return, and thankfully, he responded, “I’ll be back.”

For EDM fans in the city, there is no shortage of heart-pounding concerts and performances to enjoy before the summer wraps up. The highly anticipated Veld Music Festival 2025 returns between Aug. 1 and Aug. 3 at Downsview Park, featuring a star-studded lineup including Alesso, Dom Dolla, deadmau5, John Summit, Loud Luxury, MEDUZA and Tiësto.
