International Women’s Day events happening in Calgary this month

International Women’s Day is coming up on March 8, and there is an array of events happening to celebrate the women within our city. Whether you’re looking to learn, network, or just have fun, there’s something for everyone.

From panels to performances, the city is packed with events to honour and celebrate the achievements of women.

So mark your calendars, grab your besties, and explore some of the events we’ve compiled for this upcoming weekend.

Tech Thursday’s annual International Women’s Day celebration highlights women in Calgary’s tech and innovation community.

The evening will feature six speakers who will touch on all things entrepreneurship and leadership, along with sharing impactful stories.

While the event is centred towards women in tech, it is open to anyone who is looking to be a part of a strong, inclusive community.

When: March 5, 2026
Time: 2:30 p.m.
Where: 221 10th Ave. SE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Free

The Women and Wealth Gala is an event that focuses on supporting, connecting and empowering women across Canada.

The evening features a welcome reception, followed by a three-course dinner paired with wine, ending the night with powerful stories from keynote speakers.

It’s a night designed to honour the legacy of women in business, finance and leadership.

When: Saturday, March 7, 2026
Time: 5 p.m.
Where: 19122 Flores Ladue Parade SE, Calgary Alta.
Cost: Starting at $195.00+

This free, full-day event features a full lineup of informative talks regarding women’s health, led by medical experts. Conversations will. touch on topics like menopause, ADHD, and pelvic health.

To close off the event, there will be a documentary screening along with an interactive Q&A session.

Plus, if you are one of the first 150 people to attend the event, you will receive a free bagged lunch!

The Confluence International Women’s Day one-hour walking tour shines a light on the hidden stories of women who have been overlooked within our city.

Throughout this guided tour, you will explore the long-lasting contributions that the First Nations and Métis women have made within our community and reflect on how they continue to shape Calgary today.

When: March 8, March 15, March 22, 2026
Time: 2 to 3 p.m.

Immerse yourself in the world of science and trades at Celebrate Women in Trades at Telus Spark. This family-friendly event allows you to explore interactive booths, attend live demonstrations and the chance to meet a diverse group of professionals who are shaping the industry.

When: March 8, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 220 St. Georges Dr. NE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Adults $33.95+, Seniors $29.95+ Children $24.95
