Is there a new episode of ‘SNL’ tonight?

Yes, SNL is all new tonight, Dec. 20.

Returning host Ariana Grande will be back for the annual SNL Christmas show, supported by Cher as musical guest. While Grande has hosted the show twice before, Cher has only appeared as musical guest once, all the way back in 1987 (she also made a cameo on “Weekend Update” in 1992).

In a promo for tonight’s episode, Cher made Grande and SNL cast member Bowen Yang‘s dreams come true when she delivered her iconic line (and slap) from Moonstruck: “Snap out of it!”

Who is hosting next week and who is the musical guest?

At the time of this writing, there hasn’t been any announcement about a host or musical guest for next week.

Last week, Dec. 13, Josh O’Connor made his debut as SNL host. He was joined by Lily Allen, returning for her second stint as musical guest. The week prior, on Dec. 7, SNL Five Timer Melissa McCarthy hosted, with Dijon as musical guest.
