The latest twist on Days of Our Lives has brought a shocking return: Lexie Carver is alive. The character, previously played by Renee Jones, is now portrayed by actress Nikki Crawford. Following the reveal, Jackée Harry, who plays Paulina Carver, took to social media to tease the fallout still to come.
On the Peacock soap, Lexie Carver (Jones) died in her husband Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) arms in 2012 after a battle with a brain tumor. In the show’s current storyline, Lexie’s half brother E.J. DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) has been secretly working with the magical Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) to bring her back to life. The secret was revealed in the March 6, 2026 episode, when E.J. finally confessed the experiment to Abe’s current wife, Paulina, setting up a major emotional conflict for the Carver family.
Harry reacted to the storyline on Instagram, sharing a photo of Paulina discovering Lexie in a medical tube. In the caption, the actress encouraged viewers to catch up on the soap. “Honey, if you’re not watching Days of Our Lives, you’re missing some MAJOR drama. Lexi is back, and baby.. that’s about to shake things up for Paulina and Abe. 😤 You better catch up on @dayspeacock because Salem is not playing around right now! ⏳,” she wrote.

Harry has also hinted that the storyline will create major tension for Paulina and Abe. In a previous interview with BET’s Danielle Young, the actress teased that trouble could be ahead for the couple.
“All I can say is hide the kitchen utensils,” Harry joked, before adding, “Really good but for an actor, but oh, look out. That’s all I can say I’m trying to be tactful.”
