Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is loving the food scene here in Toronto. Recently, Oliver was in the city doing a signing at Yorkdale Mall’s Indigo for his latest recipe book, Simply Jamie, and it looks like he is checking out some local spots while he’s in town.
During his visit, he’s been spotted hitting up some of the city’s most adored restaurants, including one restaurant by fellow celebrity chef and Toronto restaurant owner Matty Matheson, Prime Seafood Palace, as confirmed to BlogTO.
Posting to his own Instagram stories, Oliver shared a moment from his experience at Prime Seafood Palace, captioning the post, “A very talented mixologist @moldevlin Multitasking @primeseafoodpalace @mattymatheson.”
The swanky spot is known for featuring ingredients from Matheson’s farm, Blue Goose Farm, in Ridgeway, Ontario. Some of the notable dishes on the menu include prime rob roast, caviar bites, bone-in striploin, lobster and spaghetti, and steak tartare.
Oliver’s Toronto food journey also included popping in at one of the city’s east-end gems, Maha’s Egyptian Brunch.
The chef was pictured dining at Maha’s, with the restaurant not only posting photos but also mentioning that their famous dinner guest is “such a wonderful person.”
Prime Seafood Palace is located at 944 Queen St W.
