Just over a year after confirming his retirement from the NFL, Jason Kelce surprised fans with an unexpected announcement: his football days may be over, but there’s another sport taking over his heart.
The legendary Eagles alum took to Reddit on Sunday, May 4, to seek help from the social media platform’s golfers, revealing that he’s “trying to get serious about [his] golf game” in the wake of “[hanging] up the cleats.”
He posted a video of his training session from the day before, which included “6 different angles of [his] swing” for the experts to analyze.
“Looking for any tips you can give me – especially on my backswing and follow-through. Been working with a local pro in Philly, but figured I’d get some crowd-sourced wisdom too,” he concluded with thanks, signing off as “Kelce.”
Fans were shocked to see the pro-athlete seeking their guidance, with one gushing, “holy shit this is cool as hell, Jason Kelce wants our advise [sic] guys 😂.”
“No f–king way my man Kelce came in to this sub 🤣,” someone else replied, going on to wish him, “Best of luck in your golf journey.”
In all seriousness, more experienced players were happy to help, with several taking note of the aggressive nature of his swings.
“Jesus, you’re not tryna murder the ball. Slow and smooth,” one advised.
Others offered suggestions for his posture, the positioning of his feet and hands, and more, with many concluding that the best thing for him would be to hire a pro to help out. However, it’s certainly nice to feel included!
