Jason Momoa’s long career in film dates back to the late 1990s. Some may not even remember him from that far back because Momoa has changed his look so much over the years.
Back then, he was a clean-cut young man with a surfer vibe, perfect for his role as Jason Ioane on Baywatch when he was just 19 years old.
But what is forgotten was not lost forever, and now, photos of the Game of Thrones heartthrob have been brought back for another round of ogling after they were shared in a Reddit post that is starting to get some attention.
In a carousel of five snaps from his Baywatch days, Momoa can be seen posing with fans, eating a snowcone, canoodling with other cast members, and perched in the lifeguard stand that started his Hollywood career.
What do all these photos have in common? Momoa is tanned, toned, shirtless, wearing signature red Baywatch shorts in every single one. It’s also worth mentioning that his hair is cut short and he’s clean-shaven, something we haven’t seen from the 45-year-old Hollywood hunk in quite some time.
The response to Momoa’s teenage photos has been fierce, with one fan posting a GIF of Uncle Jesse from Full House saying his infamous line, “Have mercy!”
Another wrote, “The reason I tuned in to watch Baywatch.” Isn’t he the reason most of us tuned in to Baywatch?
Quite a few comments mentioned his lack of a shirt in every single photo, with some even questioning his inability to afford one.
There was plenty of snark, as it wouldn’t be Reddit without that, but overall, it’s pretty clear that Momoa fans are pretty happy to see this blast from the past.
