Jimmy Dean Upgrades Breakfast With 3 Brand-New Items

Jimmy Dean is kicking breakfast up a notch by adding three brand-new options to its frozen food lineup—and they’re packed with extra protein.

Country Music Hall of Famer Jimmy Dean‘s 1969-founded company, known for its extensive morning meat selection and quick grab-and-go bites for your first meal of the day, is aiming to become shoppers’ No. 1 go-to for convenient grocery pick-ups with added health benefits.

The fresh launch comprises a trio of new, “premium” high-protein products to satisfy any type of craving, sweet or savory: Jimmy Dean Protein Waffles, Jimmy Dean Protein Bowls, and Jimmy Dean Protein Sandwiches. Each of the releases is made with quality, recognizable ingredients, and without any added MSG, artificial colors or flavors. 

“The new waffles are the brand’s first entry into the waffle category and deliver 20 grams of protein per serving—more than the current category leader!” the brand raved in a press release shared directly with Parade. Available in Blueberry, Cinnamon, and Buttermilk flavors, the thin and crispy style breakfast item is perfect for popping into the toaster without skimping on nutrition.

Meanwhile, for a heartier, more filling meal, the Protein Bowls pack 40 grams of protein per bowl, offered in Chipotle Chicken, Classic Sausage & Bacon, and Zesty Monterey & Bacon flavors. Opting for the best of both worlds, bread, meat, egg, and cheese come together in Jimmy Dean’s Protein Sandwich selection: Grilled Chicken Ciabatta, Sausage Spiral Croissant, and Breakfast Burger Brioche. “With an impressive 25 grams of protein in each sandwich, they are the highest-protein frozen breakfast sandwich in the category,” the press release stated.

Jimmy Dean’s high-protein product debut is available now at Walmart locations, and is slated to expand to other retailers nationally beginning in April 2026.
