We are seeking a dynamic and experienced FOH Services and Ticketing Manager is responsible to coordinate and manage Front of House staff, Concession staff, FOH volunteers as well as manage ticket sales for events. They are responsible for ensuring that procedures are followed by staff, communication is kept up between departments for bookings, ensuring orders are filled for concession, scheduling staff and volunteers for events, putting event tickets on sale and managing all ticket sales. This includes dealing with ticketing requests from clients and ticketing reports. The FOH and Concession’s Manager reports and works closely with the Bookings Manager and the Technical Director.
FOH Duties:
Interviewing, hiring, training and managing FOH staff.
Schedule FOH supervisors and volunteers for upcoming events.
Communicating with FOH staff regarding events, checking in with them to ensure staff are happy and looked after. Disciplining staff when necessary (in coordination with Grindstone upper management and HR).
Be on call for events, and go in when necessary (staff no shows, major incidents, etc).
Manage our Orange Hub volunteer system. Communicate with volunteers when necessary. Organize volunteer appreciation events, and track volunteer hours for the rewards system.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of FOH areas for both Orange Hub venues.
Concession Duties:
Interviewing, hiring and training Concessions staff.
Communicating with Concession staff regarding events, checking in with them to ensure staff are happy and looked after. Disciplining staff when necessary (in coordination with Grindstone upper management and HR).
Manage and track orders for concession. The FOH and Concessions Manager is responsible for ensuring that order sheets are kept up to date with current items, as well as ensuring staff submit concession inventory numbers at the end of their shift so orders may be completed before the next event.
Overseeing and coordinating deliveries and supply pick-ups
Maintain cleanliness and organization of Concession areas for both Orange Hub venues.
Support finance department in preparing tip outs each week for concession staff.
Communicate concession needs to upper management and the bookkeeper.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on concession sales, revenue projections, and inventory levels, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for revenue growth.
Oversee the daily reconciliation of cash registers, ensuring accuracy and completeness of sales transactions and deposits.
Assist with the preparation of annual budget forecasts and cost projections for the concession department, collaborating with finance and accounting teams as needed.
Responsible for supplying nightly concession earnings to the Operations Manager to be input into the Orange Hub Concession Tracking Sheet, and otherwise keep track of all receipts, invoices for concession expenses.
Coordinate and organize cash floats for concession in alignment with Grindstone’s bookkeeper, and maintain Clover and Square devices and equipment.
Ticketing and Box Office Duties:
Oversee ticketing operations, including coordinating ticketing information with renters, putting tickets up for sale through Showpass and the Grindstone website, managing ticket inventory, and coordinating with box office staff to ensure smooth ticket sales and distribution.
Coordinate the same ticketing process for internally produced Grindstone productions.
Train and manage Concession staff on Box Office and door sales.
General Duties:
Review and sign off on contracts for upcoming events, noting the staff and volunteers required to facilitate the booking.
Communicate daily with the Bookings Manager about events and event needs, as well as staff.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure events are ready to proceed on the day.
Clearly communicate with concession and FOH staff as necessary.
Monitor and respond to all guest feedback, using reflective thinking to help better our systems based on feedback provided.
Train staff in emergency procedures once a year to ensure safety of patrons.
Create and share the preshow chat, and show report to the appropriate staff for the event.
Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to concession and FOH staff, recognizing achievements and addressing any performance issues or areas for improvement.
Attend weekly staff meetings and other meetings as required.
Other duties as assigned by the bookings manager or upper management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Business Management, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in venue management, arts administration, box office and ticketing, event planning, or related field, with a demonstrated track record of success in managing theatre operations and bookings.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a small team of staff and volunteers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and reporting, with the ability to analyze financial data and make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of marketing principles and strategies, with experience developing and implementing marketing campaigns to promote events and drive ticket sales.
Familiarity with ticketing systems, event management software, and other tools used in theatre operations (preferred).

Position Details:
$18/hr, plus tip out and tips.
