NOW HIRING: CATALYST MUSICAL THEATRE BOOTCAMP SUPERVISOR

JOB DESCRIPTION
Catalyst Theatre is seeking a keen, outgoing, creative, and highly organized person who has a passion for theatre and is comfortable working with students, to assist with our inaugural Musical Theatre Bootcamp taking place in July 2025.
Musical Theatre Bootcamp is an immersive, three-week introduction to the creative approach of a Catalyst Theatre musical production, for participants aged 16-21. Participants will train in singing, acting, text and interpretation, movement and choreography, rehearsal techniques and performance as they explore award-winning musical works from the Catalyst canon.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the guidance of Catalyst Theatre’s Managing Director and Artistic Director, the Supervisor will assist in the execution of the program. Tasks will include:
○ welcoming participants on-site each morning
○ contributing to an environment where participants are safe, secure, and having fun
○ assisting Catalyst staff and Bootcamp faculty as required, including during learning sessions in the morning, and afternoon rehearsals
○ assistance organizing the Musical Theatre Bootcamp final showcase
○ administrative duties as required (working in spreadsheets, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
○ an enthusiasm for musical theatre ○ post-secondary education or equivalent experience in theatre arts
○ experience teaching and/or leading groups of youth
○ a team player with high levels of interpersonal, leadership, organization, and communication skills
○ ability to nurture the enthusiasm of our young participants while maintaining high standards of respect, safety, and cooperation
○ fun, fearless, and adaptable!
DATES
July 7- 25, 2025
+ orientation day during the first week of July
+ wrap-up day during the last week of July
HOURS
Approximately 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday
COMPENSATION
$2250.00
