John Cena’s Last Match is Tonight—Here’s How to Watch Live

John Cena’s Last Match is Tonight—Here’s How to Watch Live

The Franchise. The Champ. The Cenation Leader. The Professor of Thugonomics. Big Match John. Super Cena. He’s been called many affectionate monikers over the years but both in and out of the ring, he’s best known simply as John Cena.

In the quarter century since he first signed to the WWE, the pro wrestler has become a 17-time world champion and one of the sports’ most iconic figures, not to mention a veritable movie star whose films have grossed hundreds of millions of dollars globally. And while that acting career will no doubt continue, along with Cena’s brand endorsements and philanthropic work, his time in the ring is about to come to an end — this December, the legendary fighter will have his final WWE match before he officially retires from the sport that made him a superstar.

In a post shared this past October on X, Cena affirmed his plans to retire from the ring. “Despite any speculation or rumors, on July 6, 2024 I announced I would retire from WWE in ring participation,” he wrote. “I am far from perfect but strive to be a person whose word has value. 12/13/25 will be my final match. I am beyond grateful for every moment WWE has given me. I am excited for 12/13 & look forward to seeing all of you one last time.”

Cena had his last WWE Monday Night Raw appearance this past November, which was an emotional outing for the wrestler. So you can only imagine how affecting his outing as a professional wrestler will be. Here’s everything you need to know to tune into John Cena’s last match.

What time is John Cena’s last match?

John Cena will have his final-ever WWE fight at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, 2025, at 8 p.m. E.T. The farewell match will take place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. It will mark the end of a long retirement tour for the athlete-slash-actor, which began during the Netflix premiere of Monday Night Raw on January 6, 2025.

WWE promoted the bout with a simple, emotional tagline: “The last time is now. Don’t miss out.”

Where is John Cena’s last match streaming?

As with last month’s final Monday Night Raw smackdown, Cena’s big curtain call will be available to stream live; however, this time, the chosen streaming service is Peacock. (You can access the NBCUniversal streamer via two main subscription plans: Peacock Premium with ads for $10.99 per month or $109.00 per year, and Peacock Premium without ads for $16.99 per month or $169.99 per year.) Internationally, you can tune in via Netflix.

Peacock secured the streaming rights to the coveted sports event through a multi-year partnership between his parent company, NBCUniversal, and the WWE, which made Saturday Night’s Main Event an exclusive Peacock series. ESPN+ had previously clinched WWE’s premium live events with a deal done this past September, kicking off with Wrestlepalooza, but the Saturday Night’s arrangement meant that Cena’s farewell match would remain Peacock property.

Who is John Cena fighting in his last match?

Well, that depends — his opponent will be the winner of the “Last Time Is Now” tournament, which is currently underway.

The main event on December 13 will see John Cena fight either Australian wrestler Gunther or American fighter LA Knight, who are both tournament finalists after beating out 14 other performers from Raw, SmackDown and NXT. Speaking of, the event will also feature NXT rising stars in exhibition matches against the main roster talents.

Along with the in-ring athletes, Cena’s final match will feature appearances from Stephanie McMahon and Joe Tessitore as hosts, Michael Cole on play-by-play and Wade Barrett on match commentary.
