Jumeirah Mallorca will reopen for the summer season on 14 March, welcoming guests back to its iconic clifftop setting above Port de Sóller. Poised between the UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana and the shimmering Mediterranean Sea, the hotel returns with a season shaped by rare celestial moments and culture-rich programming that connects guests to Mallorca’s natural landscapes.
At the heart of the season is a once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse on 12 August, placing Jumeirah Mallorca directly within the path of totality and one of the Mediterranean’s most privileged vantage points from which to witness the phenomenon. To mark the occasion, the hotel will host an extraordinary four-day celestial celebration from 10-14 August curated entirely around the eclipse. From sunrise rituals to moonlit evenings, guests are invited to shape their own journey across an itinerary designed to connect astronomy, gastronomy, wellbeing, and the hotel’s dramatic clifftop setting.
From 10 August, Astronomy Masterclass will be delivered in exclusive collaboration with Mallorca’s island-based Astronomy Institute, offering expert insight into the science and spectacle of the eclipse through advanced solar telescopes.
On the night of the eclipse, the evening will start 100 metres above the sea with a lunar-inspired cocktail reception, setting the tone for an extraordinary celebration of gastronomy and live entertainment beneath the stars. As the eclipse unfolds, experts from the Astronomy Institute will provide insightful commentary and guide viewing, allowing guests to toast the celestial moment in rarefied surroundings. The experience continues with a choice of two exceptional dining journeys: a Mediterranean gala dinner at Cap Roig, showcasing the region’s finest seasonal ingredients, or refined Nikkei cuisine at the Sunset Lounge, each served against a breathtaking night-sky panorama.
Throughout the four-day celebration, guests can also enjoy a programme of tailored experiences, including private yacht journeys along Mallorca’s north-western coast, gastronomy set within ancient olive groves, and restorative wellness rituals designed to ground and reconnect.
Rates start from EUR 600 per night for a Deluxe Mountain View Room. For more information on booking a stay this season, please visit www.jumeirah.com/en/stay/mallorca.
