Las Vegas nightlife is known for surprises, but few could have predicted a Justin Bieber impersonator would manage to fool staff and partygoers at one of the city’s biggest resorts.
On Saturday, August 16, DJ Gryffin (born Daniel Griffith) was in the middle of a set at XS Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas when he was informed that the pop superstar himself had arrived. “It started when Bustin Jeiber showed up to the club and I was told he wanted to perform,” Gryffin, 37, shared on Instagram two days later. “Dark venue and loud music didn’t help here. So his ‘team’ said he wanted to perform ‘Sorry.’ Little did I know I was about to be sorry.”
The supposed Bieber, 31, even made it to the stage. “After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage,” a Wynn Las Vegas spokesperson told Us Weekly. “As soon as the error was recognized, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry.”

For a few minutes, though, the crowd believed they were seeing the real thing. Gryffin recalled, “The venue went wild and after 4 minutes and 27 seconds of what sounded like Justin Bieber, I found out the worst news imaginable.” Gryffin was one of the last people to find out Bieber was a fake, and hilariously recounted the moment he found out. After the video showed him with a huge grin on his face walking out of the venue, saying, “that was actually insane,” his face turned to pure shock when a friend delivered the news. The video was hilariously captioned simply, “biebergate2025.”
The story quickly went viral, attracting playful responses from other DJs like Diplo, who commented, “Damn, we should have stayed on that boat lol,” while Zedd left a crying emoji.

Other fans left comments like, “Everyone at xs thought it was him me included,” and “man fully committed… gotta give him props.”
Another joked. “Had em all beliebin’.”
“This is the greatest marketing ploy of all time. Well played,” a fourth suggested, while another agreed, “This is such a great marketing move.”
Though Wynn officials haven’t officially named the culprit, Us Weekly confirmed that Dylan Desclos was the man behind the prank. He was spotted later that weekend at Las Vegas Premium Outlets, according to the outlet.
