JWoww, 41, Says She Was Told She Couldn’t Eat for 6 Days in Hospital Before Weight Loss Backlash

Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley addressed ongoing comments from fans about her body and weight as many continued to accuse her of using weight-loss medication to slim down.

In September, JWoww appeared in a video with her family at the Macy’s Rookie Kids Runway show in New York City. The Jersey Shore star posed on the red carpet for the special event to support her two kids, Meilani and Grayson.

After seeing the video, many people started commenting about her physical appearance, accusing her of using Ozempic to lose weight. This included replies like, “Def on Ozempic,” and “I didn’t recognize her lol.”

“Oh jenni. What happened. I love you but this is too extreme,” wrote a third person in the comments.

JWoww has faced these sorts of comments for some time now, but this time around, she took a moment to respond directly to the conversation in the comments of the video, sharing that the sudden weight loss was the result of her recent hospitalization.

“Apologies to everyone offended by my weight lol,” she began, before explaining in detail what happened at the hospital. “I have never been this thin since middle school, but unfortunately, I was told I couldn’t eat for six days in the hospital as they debated taking out my appendix while I was also suffering from a kidney abscess the size of a golf ball…”

JWoww noted that the infection had been bothering her throughout this past summer, so the weight loss had been ongoing as she suffered from the health issue.

Clapping back at the fans, she went on, “What sucks more is the fact that I can’t control how thin I am right now and I did not do any ‘shots’ for this to happen…but I will ask when I gain all the way back for you to then comment about how fat I got 😂😂 because women can’t win either way.”

Supportive fans replied to her honest message, saying things like, “do what you gotta girl you first always remember that,” and “you look amazing as always!!!. No need to explain yourself to others.” Others wished her a quick recovery.

JWoww shared an in-depth post about her hospitalization at the start of September, including a photo of herself in a hospital gown with her two kids as they got ready for their first day of the school year.

At the time, she called the ordeal “one of the hardest weeks of my life” and noted that she hadn’t been feeling like herself for months. Thankfully, the visit seemed to go well, and JWoww is currently recovering from her health issues.
