Kane Brown Shares Emotional Message Following Charlie Kirk's Tragic Death

11 September 20253 Mins Read

Kane Brown is calling for unity following the tragic death of Charlie Kirk at age 31.

Though he didn’t name the Turning Point USA founder specifically, on the night of Wednesday, September 10, the country star, 31, posted a video on Instagram in which he asked for “everybody to love each other.”

Kirk was fatally shot earlier that day during an event he was hosting at Utah Valley University.

In the video, a visibly emotional Brown said, “I’m getting mad, man, ’cause I don’t know what to say. I’m very uneducated on this stuff…at the end of the day, dude, all I want is everybody to love each other. That’s really all I want. That’s really all I want.”

The singer continued, “Left side, right side, Black, White, different language speaking, different country living…just love each other.

“If you see somebody down, please pick them up. I’ve been crying for two hours. This is the first video—now I’m just getting mad. Now I’m just getting mad, because something’s telling me that I have to post this video. I don’t talk about this s–t. I don’t do politics. That’s not for me.

“I just want y’all to love each other, bro. It’s really not that hard. I get it, some people can say some pretty messed-up stuff, especially with the internet these days. I bet there’s some a–hole on here that’s gonna post something about…something that’s gonna p–s me off.”

Brown further urged, “Just love each other, dude. Help each other out.”

He continued, “I’m just gonna end the video there. I love you guys, and I hope you—if you need to hear that, if you need to hear it, I love you. And I want you to go, and I want you to go and hug somebody else that you love, and tell them that you love them, okay? Pick them up, make them feel special.”

Before concluding the video, Brown added, “God bless you guys, I love you, goodnight.”

Shortly after, the Tennessee native shared that he was heartbroken over the tragic shooting at Evergreen High School—which also took place on September 10— in a post on his Instagram Story. He then shared another Story showing Kirk with his wife and two young children, along with the broken heart emoji.

Celebrities such as Candace Cameron Bure, Pat Boone, Melissa Gilbert, Jason Aldean, and Jimmy Kimmel have also spoken out following the political activist’s death.

President Donald Trump initially confirmed Kirk’s death in a Truth Social post on Wednesday in which he called the conservative influencer “legendary.”

Kirk’s killer was still at large as of Wednesday night, NBC News reported.
