Kannan Sankaran Named as Managing Director at HVS Consulting & Valuation Washington D.C.

HVS, a leading global hospitality consulting firm, has announced the appointment of Kannan Sankaran as Managing Director of its Consulting & Valuation division in Washington, D.C.

In his new role, Sankaran will collaborate with clients throughout the lifespan of their hospitality assets. This includes advising them on strategic investment decisions, from development and acquisition through repositioning and disposition.

Rod Clough, President of HVS Americas, welcomed Sankaran to the team. He highlighted Sankaran’s extensive experience in delivering strategic solutions across a wide range of real estate asset types. He expressed confidence that his expertise would significantly contribute to expanding their consulting and advisory practice.

Sankaran is recognized for his client-focused approach, utilizing market-based evidence and intelligence to guide and provide solutions. He is motivated by a desire to help clients reach their investment goals and acknowledges the hospitality industry’s significant global role in both the economy and society.

Before joining HVS, Sankaran served as Senior Vice President of CBRE Hotels in Washington, D.C. His role involved conducting hospitality advisory engagements across the United States, including the U.S. Virgin Islands, and internationally in Canada, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Germany, Japan, England, and South Korea.
