The Kansas City Chiefs are set to light up Arrowhead Stadium this Christmas Day as they host the Denver Broncos in a festive showdown.
Alongside the holiday-themed football action, fans will be treated to a star-studded entertainment lineup, headlined by national anthem performances from actress and singer Brianna Yancey and The Voice Season 26 contestant Mikaela Ayira.
Thursday night’s game promises more than just football excitement. Yancey and Ayira will deliver the national anthem as the Leawood Police Department Honor Guard presents the colors.
The holiday atmosphere will be further enhanced by players sporting special festive patches on their uniforms, featuring an NFL shield backed by candy canes, celebrating the season of giving.
According to the Chiefs’ official gameday fan information, the halftime show will feature a special performance by the Kansas City Symphony, recognized as one of the top 25 orchestras in the United States. Alongside the symphony, fans will see KC Wolf, Chiefs Rumble, the Chiefs Cheerleaders and Chiefs Flag Runners take part in a full-scale Chiefs-themed holiday spectacle.
Fans attending the game will also have a chance to participate in a unique smartphone light show. Using the Chiefs app, supporters can make their screens flash in sync with music, both during player introductions and at the end of the third quarter.
