Tammy Reid sees a lot of similarity between Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid and Taylor Swift.
Big Red’s wife admitted that she sees qualities in the “The Fate of Ophelia” songstress that are reminiscent of the legendary coach in a new interview with TMZ, particularly her “girl next door” persona.
Tammy spoke with the publication during a goodwill event hosted by Raising Cane’s, explaining that the multihyphenate superstar is “just a regular person” who happens to be “super famous.”
“Kinda like my husband!” she added.

Tammy’s Opinion Matches the General Consensus
The sentiment is often shared by those who meet the performer in person, with Chiefs player Chris Jones once calling her “a real one” for baking her way into the team’s hearts with homemade goods.
Defensive backscoach Dave Merritt received “Victory Pop-Tarts” after a big win last season, calling Swift a “sweet young woman” as he gushed over the gift in a social media post. Meanwhile, Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt has called Swift “just as…wonderful as you’d ever imagine her to be,” and Travis Kelce’s pal Baron Corbin once emphasized how “rare” it is to find someone to be “so nice and so down-to-earth” at Swift’s level of stardom.
Clearly, the survey says it’s so.

Tammy likely also has some experience with Swift since before she was famous, as her husband and the singer’s dad, Scott, are old friends.
Reid previously coached the Philadelphia Eagles—Swift’s home team and where Scott’s loyalties lie, despite welcoming the Chiefs to the family with open arms—which led to their first meeting, many years before she first walked through the front gates of Arrowhead Stadium. In fact, it’s a gentle point of contention between Andy and Kelce, with the former teasing the latter about knowing his fiancée longer.
The football coach has been nothing but supportive of the couple some have called the closest America has ever come to royalty, often praising the way they handle their respective fame and standing up for Swift in the face of her haters.
