Despite being an important and influential member of the royal family, Kate Middleton has always remained hands-on with her kids. She and Prince William are both dedicated parents who seemingly try to make their children’s lives as “normal” as possible, and it’s clear they both share a close bond with Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
But despite being close to all of her children, there’s one in particular who Kate reportedly shares a “special rapport” with.

In speaking of the youngest little royal, Prince Louis, former BBC royal correspondent, Jennie Bond, told The Mirror:
“Being the youngest is often something of a privilege. You get away with a lot more and you are that little bit special as the last born. Catherine probably lets Louis run wild more than she did with George. She and William are very experienced parents, and I’m sure they love all three kids equally – but probably in different ways. George because he’s the firstborn and has a destiny to fulfill, Charlotte because she’s the only girl, and Louis because he’s the youngest.”

Kate even has a special nickname for her son, “Lou Bugs.”

Tomorrow, April 23, happens to be Prince Louis’ 7th birthday, and there will no doubt be a commemorative photo shared by Kate and Prince William, most likely on their official Instagram account, @princeandprincessofwales.
It’s been a longstanding tradition for a new photo of each of their children to be released in honor of their birthdays.
