Middleton drew the eye with her striking outfit, with the royal wearing a teal coat with white accents on the cuffs and collar, paired with a matching hat with floral embellishments. She added pearl earrings and wore her hair in an elaborate updo.

Some people felt like Middleton’s outfit looked familiar, as it appeared to pay tribute to a 1992 outfit worn by the late Princess Diana. People put the outfits side by side to compare, with the similarities almost undeniable.
Diana’s outfit, which she reportedly wore on a trip to India, was a teal and white jacket and skirt combo. Like Middleton, Diana’s jacket featured sharp shoulders and bold white accents. Both women also wore drop pearl earrings. But some aspects differed, like with the hat, as Diana’s hat was mostly white with teal striping, while Middleton’s hat was all teal.
Despite some clear differences, the similarities are hard to ignore, but it’s unclear if this was a purposeful tribute on Middleton’s part.
