Kempinski Hotels has appointed Paul Lonergan as Chief Operating and Asset Management Officer to oversee operations and asset management in EMEA, Americas, and Asia Pacific, excluding China and Mongolia.
Kempinski Hotels has announced the appointment of Paul Lonergan as its new Chief Operating and Asset Management Officer. In this role, Lonergan will manage the company’s operations and asset management strategies across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Asia Pacific, excluding China and Mongolia.
The appointment of Lonergan is part of Kempinski’s strategic shift to enhance its global performance and operational capabilities. Lonergan brings over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a background in both operational leadership and hotel asset management. His expertise is expected to contribute to Kempinski’s efforts to align owner and operator interests and optimize the performance of its portfolio.
Lonergan’s responsibilities will include ensuring alignment between hotel owners and operators, guiding capital investment decisions, and enhancing guest experiences. He will also focus on targeted capital expenditures and operational strategies to enhance the long-term value of the company’s properties.
In addition to Lonergan’s appointment, Manish Nambiar has been promoted to Senior Vice President Operations for the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Nambiar, who has been with Kempinski for over 20 years, will lead operational performance and business growth in the company’s largest region. He previously held various leadership roles within the company, including Vice President of Operations Southeast Asia and Area General Manager, Africa.
