Jack Schlossberg is not happy about the new television series about his family.
FX’s American Love Story, which premieres in February 2026, will recount the high-profile romance between Schlossberg’s uncle John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Carolyn Bessette. Schlossberg is the daughter of JFK Jr.’s sister, Caroline Kennedy, and the grandson of President John F. Kennedy.
In an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, July 8, Schlossberg had a short but bold message for American Love Story‘s showrunner, Ryan Murphy.
Schlossberg posted a photo of Murphy at this year’s Met Gala, captioning it “pervert.”

This isn’t the first time Schlossberg has seemingly criticized the series. Last month, he took to his Instagram stories to share his thoughts on the show.
“Lately, my news feed has been filled with pictures of my uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr., a great man,” he said. “For those wondering whether his family was ever consulted, or has anything to do with the new show being made about him, the answer is no, and there’s really not much we can do.”
The Vogue political correspondent explained that his uncle is considered a public figure, making it possible for a series to be developed about him without requiring permission from his surviving family members.
“I hope those making this show about him take seriously what he stood for in his life, all that he achieved in it, and that they donate some of the profits [from] what they’re making to the John F. Kennedy Library,” he continued. “For the record, I think admiration for my uncle John is great. What I don’t think is great is profiting off of it in a grotesque way.”
Kennedy and Bessette were married from 1996 until their deaths in a plane crash off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts in 1999.
