Blue Flamingo Resort Key West will open in July 2025. The resort is situated at the entrance to Key West, in the New Town area, and is inspired by the city’s rich history, stories, traditions, and personalities.
The resort features The Backyard Pool & Social Club, with two pools and a host of activities led by an in-house concierge. The Blue Flamingo Resort is owned by BRE Hotels and managed by Highgate Hotels. It transforms two of Key West’s retro motor lodges into one new and memorable getaway, merging the charm of Old Town with the energy and modernity of New Town.
On entering the lobby, visitors will find eclectic furnishings and vibrant colors, setting the tone for a fun and playful atmosphere. The resort offers 245 well-designed accommodations with sand dune-inspired tones. The guest room layouts range from Deluxe Queen and King to spacious Junior Suite and Suite, and surround The Backyard Pool & Social Club – the center of activity and energy.
The Backyard Pool & Social Club at Blue Flamingo features two pools, cabanas and lounge chairs, poolside dining, and tiki bar concepts Rum Row and Toasted Coconut. There will also be outdoor lawn games and activities, fire pits, and intimate seating areas.
The resort will also feature daily happy hours, island music nights, movies under the stars, rum & reggae nights, and parties. Partnerships with La Fete du Rosé and Phat Buddha will add to the festivities with rosé and frozé parties, weekly wellness programming, starlit yoga classes, sound healing classes, wellness fairs, and more.
The resort is ideal for bachelorette parties, couples’ getaways, and group and family retreats. It will introduce a flexible event space with a pool table, vinyl record player, and colorful murals, providing a perfect atmosphere for social gatherings and celebrations.
Dining options include Rum Row & Toasted Coconut, which features local flavors and island-inspired cuisine. The bars serve an array of tiki cocktails and a food menu that includes Coconut Shrimp, Burgers, Poke Bowls, and Big Fish Sandwiches.
The resort is near Key West International Airport and popular local attractions like Duval Street. Rooms at Blue Flamingo Resort will be available at a summer preview rate starting at $159 per night.
