‘Kiln repair at the Kilnden Workshop’ quest walkthrough in Crimson Desert

26 March 20265 Mins Read

Kiln repair in Crimson Desert is more complex than you might think, as it involves fuel orbs, broken cables, mysterious symbols, and lots of rubble. At the start of Chapter 4, “The Price of Knowledge,” you’ll go on a mission to get a “Mysterious Pot” at the Kilnden Workshop. Here, a dwarven craftsman will ask you to repair the broken kiln, or rather kilns, as you must fix three kilns in total, plus a broken generator.

Here’s how to complete the “Kiln Repair at the Kilnden Workshop” quest in Crimson Desert.

How to activate the ancient generator in Crimson Desert

The first task is to activate the ancient generator. First, pull the switch at the bottom of the generator all the way to the right. Next, push the yellow handle to the right until the lowest two glowing symbols (near the top of the tower) line up.

Now, push the switch halfway back, so it points upward. Push the yellow beam to the left until the second-highest symbol lines up with the rest. When you see the blue electricity, the ancient generator is successfully activated.

How to repair the disconnected kiln in Crimson Desert

To fix the disconnected kiln in the southeast, connect the conduit (the thick cable on the east side). When that’s done, push the yellow beam next to the conduit in a clockwise direction to fire up the kiln.

How to repair the dismantled kiln in Crimson Desert

To fix the broken kiln, you must use Axiom Force to place the two missing pieces on top of the kiln. First, grab the larger circular part to the right, and place it onto the kiln. Then, add the smaller circular part on the left. You can ignore the three pieces with a closed top — you don’t need them.

When that’s done, and you’ve placed the top piece as shown in the picture below (left side), climb on top of the broken kiln and use Force Palm in a downward direction to complete the puzzle. Using double jump is handy but not necessary; if you jump once and quickly press Force Palm, it’ll work just fine.

Again, push the yellow beam in a clockwise direction to fire up the kiln. Make sure to move any rubble out of the way to avoid getting stuck.

How to fuel the kiln in Crimson Desert

To repair the third and final kiln, you must place a fuel orb in each of the five slots. Luckily, the first two fuel orbs are right in front of the kiln; use Axiom Force to pick them up and move them into any two slots.

The third fuel orb is inside the bird statue’s eye socket, just southwest of the kiln. Grab it with Axiom Force and pull to the right to pop it out of the socket.

The fourth fuel orb is in the shallow water just west of the kiln. It’s a bit obscured by the shrubbery, but you’ll spot it if you turn your back to the bird statue. The fifth fuel orb is in a tiny cave entrance southeast of the kiln.

After you placed every fuel orb in the kiln, push the yellow beam to activate it. This will complete the “Kiln Repair at the Kilnden Workshop” quest. After a brief cutscene, you’ll be teleported to Grimnir, the dwarf at the top of the Kilnden Workshop, who’ll promise to make a mysterious pot for you.

How to obtain the mysterious pot in Crimson Desert

To obtain the mysterious pot, which will turn out to be the Kuku Pot, push the yellow lever clockwise until the circular hatch has fully opened. Just pick up the small pot to complete the “Mysterious Pot” quest and thus claim your reward for repairing the kiln in Crimson Desert.
