Kohl’s addresses double billing issue on recent online orders

ATLANTA – Kohl’s shoppers are seeing unexpected extra charges and returns on their bank statements after a processing system error impacted online purchases made over a four-week span. 

What we know:

Company officials confirmed reversals are already underway, though the timing of returned funds depends on individual financial institutions. 

Customers who bought items online between July 24 and Aug. 19 reported seeing duplicate charges or extra return transactions on their accounts.

A spokesperson for Kohl’s explained the issue resulted strictly from an internal processing error rather than any new purchases or returns.

Affected customers do not need to contact their banks or take any additional action to receive their money back, according to Kohl’s.
