Kyra Sedgwick just dropped a major career bomb on Instagram this week, seeking support from fans on her latest project — a move she swears they “won’t regret.”
The Closer star took to social media to announce a recent behind-the-camera role for a popular new series now streaming on Amazon Prime, stepping into direct an episode of the “incredible” new series: The Runarounds.
The actress and director shared a snapshot of herself posing in front of the serene backdrop of a calm marina underneath a cloudy sky, in what fans have identified as Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. She was seated on a wooden swinging bench placed in the middle of a green patch of grass, with her upper half twisted to look over the back toward the camera. She wore a soft smile and a pair of sunnies on her face.
She also included a photo of one of the actors—former General Hospitalactor William Lipton—holding a clapboard with her name on it and smiling excitedly as he did so.
“Surprise!!! I spent some time in North Carolina last year directing episode 6 of The Runarounds (now streaming on @primevideo!!!),” she exclaimed. “The show is incredible, the cast is spectacular, and the music is SO much fun!! Please go watch and enjoy, you won’t regret it! 🤩.”
