HVS Brokerage & Advisory has closed the sale of the 57-room La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bay City, located at 5300 7th Street in Bay City, Texas. The property, built in 2008, was acquired by Vibrant Hospitality of Rosenberg, Texas, from Twiga Hotels Bay City LLC of Longwood, Florida.
The hotel is located off State Highway 35, near dining, retail, and entertainment options. The area’s industrial sector, including large complexes operated by companies such as Oxea Corporation, Phillips66, Occidental Chemical Company, and LyondellBasell, generates significant lodging demand. Many contractors and workers relocate to the region for oil projects and often stay at local hotels for extended periods.
Leisure demand is supported by attractions such as the Matagorda County Museum, Palacios Area Historical Museum, and Birding Nature Center. The region also hosts special events including the Matagorda Surf & Turf Festival, Wild Game & Wine Camo Festival, youth sports tournaments, and outdoor fishing events.
