La Zambra Resort in Marbella, Spain is on the market, offering 196 rooms and strategic location benefits.

La Zambra Resort, located in Marbella, Spain, is now available for purchase. Originally constructed in 1986, the resort underwent a complete renovation and reopened in 2022. The property is situated on a 50,000 square meter area and is surrounded by two golf courses. The resort features 196 rooms, including 105 suites and a private penthouse.

Facilities and Features

The resort includes eight versatile spaces for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE). It also offers multiple food and beverage options, a 2,000 square meter spa, a fitness center, and three outdoor swimming pools. Guests have access to the Los Olivos and Los Lagos golf courses.

Investment Highlights

La Zambra Resort is a historic 5-star luxury property, previously known as the Byblos Hotel. It was fully renovated in 2022 with a €50 million investment. The property presents various opportunities for value creation, such as the development of a panoramic rooftop, expansion of food and beverage or MICE facilities, and additional residential development on an approximately 13,000 square meter land plot.

Operational Details

The resort operates under Hyatt’s Unbound Collection brand with management by Marugal. This arrangement provides operational flexibility for potential investors.

Tourism Market Context

Costa del Sol, where the resort is located, is a significant tourism market. The area recorded 20.9 million overnight stays in 2024. The tourism sector continues to grow, with a 9% year-over-year increase in the first quarter of 2025.

This combination of a strategic location, comprehensive facilities, and potential for further development makes La Zambra Resort a noteworthy investment opportunity.
