The Conjuring: Last Rites broke box office records when it hit theaters on Sept. 5 and had the biggest opening weekend in horror movie history. That means you should have plenty of time to enjoy the final chapter in the story of paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) on the big screen and share the scares. But if you’re the type of fan who has come to view the long-running series as a comfort watch, here’s our best estimate on when you’ll be able to chill out at home in your pajamas and watch the Warren family wrestle with demons on your VOD or streaming platform of choice.
When will The Conjuring: Last Rites be available to rent or purchase digitally?
The Conjuring: Last Rites will be released digitally on Oct. 7 on platforms including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, and Fandango at Home, Warner Bros. has confirmed. The digital release of The Conjuring: Last Rites arrives 32 days after its theatrical debut, and just in time for spooky season (aka Halloween).
The digital release of The Conjuring: Last Rites will include the following extras:
- “Last Rites: An Era Ends” – featurette (8:45)
- “The Conjuring: Crafting Scares” – featurette (8:40)
- “Michael Chaves: Believer” – featurette (7:04)
Additionally, a four-film collection featuring the Conjuring films and a nine-film collection featuring the entire Conjuring universe (including the Annabelle and The Nun movies) will be available on digital services on Oct. 7.
When will The Conjuring: Last Rites be available on Blu-ray/DVD?
The Conjuring: Last Rites is coming to 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats on Nov. 25. The 4K UHD and Blu-ray versions will include the same featurettes included in the digital release of the movie. The four-film Conjuring collection will also be available on Blu-ray and DVD on Nov. 25.
When will The Conjuring: Last Rites be available on streaming?
Warner Bros. owns HBO Max, and the streaming service is the first stop for its new films. Sinners made is streaming debut on July 4, about two-and-a-half months after its theatrical release and around the same time as it hit retail. Final Destination: Bloodlines followed a similar pattern. The revival of the horror franchise premiered in theaters on May 16, got a physical version on July 22, and made its HBO Max debut on Aug. 1. You can expect to see The Conjuring: Last Rites on HBO Max in December.
