Comments that Dayle Haddon made about fellow actress Blake Lively earlier this year have resurfaced in the wake of Haddon’s death and the lawsuit Lively recently filed against director and actor Justin Baldoni.
In an Aug. 12 post on Instagram, Haddon reflected on the time she spent with Lively while participating in a photoshoot for Vogue’s Sept. 2024 cover. She included some behind-the-scenes footage from the photoshoot in her post, as well as some of the official photos taken for the magazine. See Haddon’s post here.

Haddon heaped praise on Lively in her Instagram caption, writing that the Gossip Girl star was “absolutely delightful, funny and mischievous.”
“Not only is Blake beautiful, inside and out, she is generous to a fault, fixing my dress during takes, adjusting my fabulous @cartier jewels..making sure I was ‘shining’ during the shoot!” Haddon wrote.
The Instagram post was one of the last that Haddon shared with her fans prior to her death this week. Haddon died at 76 from a suspected carbon monoxide leak while at a home in Bucks County, Pa., on Friday, Dec. 27, according to the Solebury Township Police Department. A 76-year-old man that authorities identified as Walter Blucas was also hospitalized and in critical condition as of Saturday, Dec. 28. Haddon’s daughter, Ryan, is married to Walter’s son, Hallmark actor Marc Blucas.
Haddon made her bold statement about the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star four months prior to her death, which occurred about one week after Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni. Baldoni, who has denied Lively’s allegations, starred in It Ends With Us with Lively and also directed the drama, which was released over the summer.
Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on the film’s set and alleged he and the studio behind It Ends With Us created a “multi-tiered plan” to “destroy” Lively’s reputation for publicly raising concerns about Baldoni’s alleged behavior, according to The Associated Press, which obtained a copy of her legal complaint.
Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, denied Lively’s claims in a statement shared with Parade earlier this month.
