Rimes, 43, who has promoting the new song on TikTok and Instagram, also teased that the song may have ties to her 9-1-1 : Nashville character, Dixie Bennings

“I’ve been holding onto a secret for a while now,” the singer captioned a recent TikTok video. “A little piece of Dixie found its way into this song.”

Rimes also shared a behind the scenes Instagram video of her singing the new song in the studio.

While the singer has confirmed that she’s releasing new music this year, she’s also reflecting on the past as she’ll be celebrating the 30th anniversary of her first album, “Blue,” with a national tour, she announced in November.

“It is the 30th anniversary of the release of the “Blue” album next year and to celebrate we are kickin’ off a ’30 Years of Blue’ tour,” she said at the time. “I’m so excited to announce that we have seven dates at the beginning of the year to announce and we’ll be adding a ton more as the year goes on.”

While the nostalgic tour kicks off in April, Rimes is keeping fans entertained with new music as well as weekly episodes of 9-1-1: Nashville airs which airs on ABC on Thursdays and streams on Hulu. The next episode of the show will air on Feb. 26.
