Legendary '60s Actor, 88, Looks Nearly Unrecognizable in Rare Outing

8 June 20252 Mins Read

Legendary actor Hector Elizondo, best known for his roles in Pretty Woman and The Last Man Standing, has kept a low profile over the years. However, this week, the Emmy winner was seen during a rare outing in Los Angeles.

In photos obtained by The Daily Mail, Elizondo, 88, was spotted walking in a long-sleeved green shirt and gray sweatpants.

The iconic actor looked nearly unrecognizable as he sported a baseball cap, seemingly to shield his face from the public.

Despite largely staying out of the spotlight, Elizondo remains one of the most accomplished actors in the industry.

Though some may recognize him from films like Nothing in Common and Frankie and Johnny, Elizondo has amassed over 160 acting credits across his decades-long career.

His history in Hollywood dates back to the 1960s, but it was his performance as “God” in the 1975 play Steambath that first earned him widespread acclaim and an Obie Award.

The beloved actor also gained recognition for his role in the Princess Diaries franchise. In the hit series, Elizondo plays Joe, the head of security for the Queen of Genovia.

A third installment is reportedly in development, two decades after the release of The Princess Diaries 2. While it’s unclear if Elizondo will return, he’s expressed interest in reprising his role.

“It’s not official, but certainly, everybody wants it done,” Elizondo previously told Variety Latino about the possibility of another movie.

“I know Annie would like to do it. I know Julie would like to do it. I would like to do it. So we’re on board — it’s a question of when and getting a good story. I’m ready! It’s time to go back to Genovia!”

Details of the production have been kept tightly under wraps, however, Anne Hathaway is confirmed to reprise her lead role.
