Ask nearly any Gen Xer and they’ll tell you that the mid to late ’80’s and early ’90s were truly a time to be alive as a teen. Their style? Impeccable. The TV shows? Iconic. And the music? Well, some say it was one of the best to experience, especially live.
In case you needed a reminder, ’80s hair metal band Def Leppard recently shared throwback footage to one of their iconic shows and it has people deeply in their feels.

The 1992 footage comes from the “Let’s Get Rocked,” a tribute concert held in honor of the late, great Freddie Mercury. “The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness” was held on April 20th at Wembley Stadium in front of over 72k audience members. Bands Metallica, Extreme and Guns N’ Roses were among the names paying tribute to Queen’s front man. Def Leppard even brought Brian May on stage to perform an unforgettable version of “Now I’m Here.”
The clip is full of everything we all loved about this time: An energetic, phone-free crowd, a glorious array of teased up hair, and music that just sounded incredible live.
