Legendary 90's Rock Band Kicks Off Tour and Fans Are Floored Over How Great He Sounds (Adam Duritz Counting Crows)

12 June 20252 Mins Read

When the Counting Crows first came onto the scene in 1991, there were two things people immediately latched on to: Their infectious story-telling lyrics and frontman Adam Duritz’s, 60, signature ‘locs. The band’s success began rapidly growing around 1993, when their singles “Mr. Jones” and “August and Everything After” cemented them into rock history.

While some were heartbroken to discover Duritz’s iconic hair is gone, they were pleasantly surprised to learn that he’s still got it. In fact, after kicking off their summer tour in Nashville on Jun 10, some fans are saying his voice hasn’t aged a day.

Many fans were also delighted to catch their rendition of Taylor Swift‘s “The 1” during the June 11th show in Kettering, Ohio.

“I died when they started doing this cover,” one attendee said. “My favorite TS song and my main man Adam agrees.”

Of the several videos circulating the show, fans do seem to be divided on whether or not Counting Crows actually sound great live. While some say that the sound is great, others claim the live performances sound to “different” from the album recording.

“I love them, but I respectfully don’t appreciate their live show,” wrote one fan. “I’m glad you do, though! I recognize my opinion doesn’t need to be everybody else’s.”

“The Complete Sweets Tour” officially doesn’t end until November 1, and features special guests The Gaslight Anthem at several of their stops. Ultimately, people seem generally thrilled they and so many other ’90s artists are making their way around again. Be sure to check out their newest single “With Love, From A-Z.”
