Glenn Close is kicking off June with a special display of pride, both for her country and for the LGBTQ+ community.
In a new Instagram post shared on Thursday, June 5, the legendary actress could be seen posing on a front porch with her dog while surrounded by two flags: one American flag and one rainbow Pride flag.

“Two flags that I LOVE,” Close, 78, captioned the post, which she shared just days into the start of Pride Month, an annual celebration recognized in June.
“I am deeply committed to and have great pride for BOTH,” the Fatal Attraction star added in her caption.

Close’s message, which appeared to be a powerful statement regarding the current political state of the country, resonated with tons of her followers, many of whom took to the comments to thank the actress for showing her support for the LGBTQ+ community.
“Thank you for being an ally! Love is love!” one fan wrote under the post.
“One of the MANY reasons we love you,” another commenter wrote to the eight-time Academy Award nominee.
“Thank you for your support. We need it now more than ever 😍” someone else added.
Close also received supportive comments filled with heart emojis from several other celebrities, including Lance Bass and Nina West.
