Rory Emslie has been appointed as the general manager of Lido House, Autograph Collection, in Newport Beach, California, where he will oversee hotel operations and manage ongoing property expansion.
Rory Emslie has been promoted to the position of general manager at Lido House, Autograph Collection, located in Newport Beach, California. Emslie will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s operations and managing its current expansion efforts. The expansion includes the addition of five new cottages, an expanded banquet event space, and the launch of a new venue called the Glass House.
Emslie joined Lido House in 2021, initially serving as director of rooms, resident manager, and later as hotel manager. His tenure has been marked by improvements in guest service scores and associate engagement ratings, as well as revenue growth in the hotel’s food and beverage outlets.
Before his time at Lido House, Emslie spent nearly ten years with Marriott International, where he worked with various luxury and lifestyle brands. His career began at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, where he advanced through roles in housekeeping, front office, and guest relations, ultimately becoming the front of house manager. Emslie received recognition for his leadership with awards such as The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel Leader of the Year in 2017 and the Marriott Global Discipline Award in 2018. He also contributed to the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Bacara Santa Barbara, and the launch of the Evrima yacht in Europe in 2022.
