Lighthouse Festival has announced its 2026 summer season, with productions running at Lighthouse Theatre in Port Dover before moving to Roselawn Theatre in Port Colborne.

“Our 2026 season is bursting with stories we can’t wait to share with you,” wrote artistic director Jane Spence in a press release. “Whether it’s a wild wedding weekend, an unexpected Caribbean getaway, or an espionage-filled comedy that’s part Mission: Impossible and part MasterChef, there is something for everyone.”

Executive director Nicole Campbell wrote that the season is a way to thank audiences: “Our patrons are the heartbeat of Lighthouse Festival. Their loyalty and enthusiasm fuel our mission to bring professional, world-class theatre to our lakeside communities.”

The full lineup, listed below, includes farces, character-driven stories, and a ‘70s music celebration.

The Beaver Club

Written by Barb Scheffler

Four friends in a beat-up car set off from Toronto to Dildo, Newfoundland. What begins as a road trip spirals into a comedy of gas-station snacks, half-baked plans, and confessions no one asked for.

Crees in the Caribbean

Written by Drew Hayden Taylor

Evie and Cecil Poundmaker celebrate 35 years of marriage with their first-ever trip abroad: a week at a Mexican resort. Cue the all-inclusive mishaps, culture clashes, and marital banter that only decades together can perfect.

Secret Service (World premiere)

Written by Ephraim Ellis

At Toronto’s swankiest Italian restaurant, espionage is on the menu. A team of international spies takes over the kitchen, with unsuspecting new waiter Harry Marsden caught in the middle.

Liars at a Funeral

Written by Sophia Fabiilli

Grandma Mavis fakes her own funeral, trapping her dysfunctional family in a blizzard-stricken parlour. Five actors play nine characters in this fast-paced comedy about secrets, chaos, and reluctant forgiveness.

A Woman’s Love List

Written by Norm Foster

Best friends Megan and Carly make a list of qualities for the perfect man — then watch as Blaze Wilson, their dream guy, appears. But their dream guy keeps morphing with every new demand; in this romantic comedy, perfection proves complicated.

Get Down Tonight (The Ultimate ‘70s Soundtrack)

Leisa Way and the Wayward Wind Band close the season with a high-energy concert celebrating the music of the 1970s. The show features hits from ABBA, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Dolly Parton, and more.

Ticket and subscription on-sale dates will be announced on the company’s website during the coming months.
