Limelight Mammoth has opened in Mammoth Lakes, California, marking the first Limelight Hotels location in California.
Limelight Mammoth has officially opened in Mammoth Lakes, California, becoming the first property for Limelight Hotels in the state. The hotel is located near The Village and the Village Gondola, offering views of the Sherwin mountain range. This new development includes 149 guestrooms, 25 suites, and 15 private residences.
The hotel features an all-electric design, utilizing efficient heat pumps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This aligns with the sustainability goals of the property’s developer, Aspen One. The property features reclaimed materials and native landscaping, EV charging stations, and an all-electric Audi fleet available for guest use.
Limelight Mammoth also introduces the Mammoth Lakes Mountain Club, a members-only ski and social club. The club offers amenities such as a private lounge, an outdoor terrace, ski valet, personal lockers, and access to a fitness center. Members also have access to a year-round calendar of events.
The hotel provides over 8,000 square feet of event space, including the Ridgeline Ballroom and Viewline Plaza, suitable for corporate retreats and other events. The Limelight Lounge serves as a communal space offering meals throughout the day and features live music as part of the Limelight Live program.
Limelight Mammoth joins Limelight Hotels’ existing properties in Aspen, Snowmass, Ketchum, Denver, and Boulder. The brand plans to expand further with a location in Charleston, South Carolina, set to open in 2028.
